David C. Gorczynski, of Pennsylvania's Occupy movements, was arrested and charged with four felonies for holding two signs:
one saying “You’re being robbed” and another that said “Give a man a gun, he can rob a bank. Give a man a bank, and he can rob a country.” Gorczunski is being charged with bank robbery and "terroristic threatening". He was released on $10,000 bail.

ReplyDeleteWorldwide!
ReplyDeleteTHE COURT, UNLESS CORRUPT! (WHICH IS NOT AN UNFOUNDED SCENARIO)
ReplyDeleteWILL BE FORCED TO DROP CHARGES,AS DAVID,UNLESS HE WENT INTO THE BANK,(AND DEMANDED $) DID NOTHING BUT VEST AN OPINION!
BUT! WHAT THE HELL, THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM IS CORRUPT NATION WIDE, BEING BACKED,& SUPPORTED BY FEDERAL AGENCIES,COMMISSIONS AND COMMITTEES!
I PERSONALLY WAS ARRESTED ON A FALSE FELONY CHARGE OUT OF STEUBEN COUNTY N.Y.
WHICH I ACTUALLY MADE DISCOVERY,THAT THE CHARGE WAS INFACT FALSIFIED, AND WAS HELD FOR A YEAR,NEVER BEING BROUGHT TOO TRIAL! SO TOO SAY, THAT THEY HAVE NO OPTION BUT TO DROP THE CHARGES AGAINST DAVE,IS THEOREDICALLY MOOT!
Everyone needs to read the article not just the caption. He entered the bank itself carying a sign that says "you are being robbed" and another sign talking about banks robbing the people. Now, any level headed person would understand that his signs were politically motivated but it is against the law to enter private land to protest. They are within their rights to stand on public land and protest but the second they enter private land they can be arrested for loitering at least. The fact he entered the bank was very irresponsible on his part and the bank was within their rights to call the police. The charages are over the top and will likely be reduced and when they are, that should be posted also....keep it fair and balanced folks.
ReplyDeletestories like this are used only for hype. the resolution will be swept under the rug, just so they can hold this guy up as some kind of living martyr; a statement just as contradictory as the way these stories play themselves out.
Deleteokay it is over a year later and unless you live in the vicinity i guess, there is no updates , can not find out what happened with this case. nothing with any search i have done. this post dated Jan 22 2013 was the most recent. So if anyone can update or post a link to court case results regarding this gentleman .
DeleteYa gotta believe these two cops feel like complete morons when they see this or anyone asks them what the hell they were thinking.
ReplyDeleteI just did a Google search and discovered the robbery charges were dropped within a week of the incident which occurred in Aug. 2012.

ReplyDeleteA protester who walked into an Easton bank holding a sign reading "You're being robbed" will face felony terroristic threats charges for the scare he caused, Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli announced Wednesday.
Saying David C. Gorczynski crossed the line from protest to crime, Morganelli contended that the 22-year-old instilled fear in clerks and customers Monday when he twice went into downtown banks and displayed his homemade cardboard signs, another of which read "Give a Man a Gun, He Can Rob a Bank. Give A Man a Bank, And He Can Rob A Country."
