Japanese 'Poop' Steak

If you prefer your steak to be cooked rare, you may want to reconsider that choice after hearing about the latest advancement in food technology to come out of Japan: an edible steak made from human feces.

The steaks were first envisioned by Japanese researcher Mitsuyuki Ikeda after he was approached by Tokyo Sewage to come up with a solution for the city's overabundance of sewage mud. Although "eating it" probably wouldn't have occurred to most people, Ikeda recognized that the mud was chock full with protein-rich bacteria.

After isolating those proteins in the lab, Ikeda's team then combined them with a reaction enhancer and put them in an exploder. What eventually came out was no filet mignon, but it was edible.

"Theoretically, there's nothing wrong with this," said Douglas Powell, a professor of food safety at Kansas State University. "It could be quite safe to eat, but I'm sure there's a yuck factor there."

There is an obvious conflict of interests which explains the lack of public research on the long-term effects of GMO products. Recently, the U.S. Congress quietly passed the "Monsanto Protection Act" which, among other things, bans courts from halting the sale of Monsanto's genetically-modified seeds.
For too long, Monsanto has been the benefactor of corporate subsidies and political favoritism. Organic and small independent farmers suffer losses while Monsanto continues to forge its monopoly over the world's food supply, including exclusive patenting rights over seeds. Farmers trying to save their own seeds have been sued by Monsanto when their fields have been contaminated by Monsanto's patented seeds. Independent farmers cannot survive financially in the face of court battles against a multinational corporation.

Monsanto's GMO seeds are harmful to the environment. Scientists have indicated they have contributed to colony collapse among the bee population. The promotion of the use of glyphosate, an herbicide used in conjunction with roundup ready crops, has resulted in the apparition of superweeds and the widespread presence of glyphosate in the environment, with little being known about the long term effects of exposure on human health and on ecosystems.
There are many solutions: voting with your dollar by buying organic, labeling of GMO foods, repealing relevant provisions of the US's "Monsanto Protection Act". But today we are asking you to take a first step and help us to inform the public about Monsanto's secrets. Join us in the march to the streets to show the world and Monsanto that we are aware and want them to be held accountable. We will not stand for cronyism. We will not stand for poison.

A newspaper reported that the original intention was to amend “the state’s freedom of information law by adding a blanket exemption to disclosure of any ‘criminal investigation photograph, film, videotape, other image or recording or report depicting or describing the victim or victims’” — an idea opposed by Freedom of Information Commission director Colleen Murphy.

Even if one believes that those pushing the legislation have only the interests of the Newtown victims’ families at heart, surely this does not outweigh the public’s need for this kind of information.

London "Terrorist Attack" Suspect Caught On Camera

“I apologize that women had to witness this today but, in our land, our women have to see the same,” the attacker said on camera. “You people will never be safe.”

It is believed there were two attackers who acted in coordination, killing one and wounding two more in the streets of London. The attackers were incapacitated after they assaulted police.

'Soldier beheaded' in 'Islamist terror attack' oustide barracks in Woolwich

Two suspected terrorists were shot by armed police after attacking a pedestrian, believed to be a soldier, with a machete-style knife close to military barracks in an 'Islamist attack'.

Several witnesses described seeing a "beheading" while another described seeing a man wearing a Help for Heroes T-shirt being attacked with a machete-style knife and dumped.

Prime Minister David Cameron called a meeting of the Government's Cobra crisis committee, describing the incident as "truly shocking"

The BBC reported sources had told them the men were shouting "Allahu Akbar" as they carried out the attack and had filmed carrying it out.

One witness, called James, told LBC radio: "We saw clearly two knives, meat cleavers, they were big kitchen knives like you would use in a butcher's, they were hacking at this poor guy, we thought they were trying to remove organs from him"

"These two guys were crazed, they were not there, they were just animals. They then dragged him from the pavement and dumped his body in the middle of the road.

"They took 20 minutes to arrive, the police – the armed response."

Why Does Monsanto Need an Army of Mercenary Soldiers?

The Monsanto Company likes to proclaim that they are the good guys, here to selflessly feed the world, help with sustainable agriculture, and, as if those lofty goals are not enough, champion human rights across the globe. 

So why does such a noble, benevolent company require the services of the most notorious mercenary army of modern times?  Why did Monsanto dish out half a million dollars to an arm of Blackwater called Total Intelligence.

What is Blackwater?

Blackwater is now known as Academi.

“…previously known as Xe Services LLC, Blackwater USA and Blackwater Worldwide—is a private military company founded in 1997 by Erik Prince and Al Clark. Academi is currently the largest of the U.S. State Department’s three private security contractors. Academi provided diplomatic security services in Iraq to the United States federal government on a contractual basis.  Academi also has a research and development wing that was responsible for developing the Grizzly APC along with other military technology. The company’s headquarters is located in Arlington County, Virginia.”

How are Blackwater and Monsanto connected?

While rumor had it that Monsanto had actually purchased Blackwater, that is not the case. Monsanto contracted with the mercenary group for “security services”.  In 2010, an illuminating report called Blackwater BlackOps, written by Jeremy Scahill, of The Nation, revealed that Monsanto had given a contract worth up to half a million dollars to Blackwater.

Monsanto has a history of hiring an unscrupulous mercenary army.  Be aware during this weekend’s activism that agent provocateurs may be afoot, particularly at the larger events.  Don’t rise to the bait of those who would try to deflect protesters from their goal. The goal remains clear – we are there to peacefully spread awareness about Monsanto and about the health and environmental hazards of GMOs.  Around the world, the movement for real food has created an enormous global awakening.  Through the power of social media and alternative news, we are cresting a wave with this event.  We must maintain our unity and momentum, and stay focused on the goal, because with every attack made against us, we may be reassured that Monsanto is on the run.
