  1. Excellent information except for the blanket statement that Marijuana is harmless. It quite simply can be very harmful to people prone to mental illness. It is wrong to suggest otherwise.

  3. Liz, any substance or object can be "...quite simply...harmful". Choosing to focus on the exception rather than the rule is misleading. If "harm" is the issue then a case can be made that the demonstrable harm caused by the prohibition of marijuana far outweighs any alleged potential harm marijuana can cause to a very small fraction of the population.

  4. Saying that Marijuana makes people feel 'good' is not a valid argument. Every thing people do to feel 'good' might make them addicted to this substance or action and so keeping them in a trap, as it helps them to escape from reality by not relating and responding to what shows up in their daily life. We need to confront our daily life and so we need to stand firm on the ground, that is the *earth* and NOT drifting away into clouds when not wanting to deal with ones negative reactions caused when conditions are NOT what one is expecting! One needs to understand that life is a learning and growing process, even though it is sometimes hard. But it is absolutely useless wanting to escape and Marijuana helps in this, so better avoid it!

  7. while marijuana is definitely not as bad as law enforcement propoganda says, it is definitely still harmful and I hate how immature and ridiculous pot smokers defend it like naive children. Of course it is damaging, look up the 100s of studies that you all say don't exist! There is a strong study that showed people under the age of 22 that smoked pot regularly had on average a 12-15% smaller right side amygdala. There have been numerous other studies that show decrease in grey and white matter , which is in general linked to intelligence... Marijuana does have a very nice high which has positive benefits but like all drugs you have to be INTELLIGENT about the risks, not blindly ignore them!!!
